Public Interest Disclosures
We encourage people to report corruption and misconduct in the Victorian public sector. The Public Interest Disclosures Act 2012 (the PID Act) encourages the reporting of public sector wrongdoing and protects people who make disclosures about improper conduct and may suffer detrimental action as a result.
Under the PID Act, the Judicial Commission can receive disclosures about judicial officers and VCAT members and anyone can disclose improper conduct or detrimental action to us.
Our Public Interest Disclosures Procedure sets out how to make a disclosure to us and how we will handle it. It also outlines what you need to do if you want to make a disclosure about our staff.
Visit our Procedures for Handling Public Interest Disclosures page for more information on the system and procedures for reporting disclosures of improper conduct or detrimental action.
