Complaints about residential tenancy and intervention order matters

The Commission is proud to be participating in Law Week for the first time, presenting an important on-demand event on complaints about residential tenancy and intervention order matters, available from 18 to 24 May 2026.

This session will increase understanding of the conduct expected of judicial officers in court proceedings, the types of complaints the Commission can investigate, and why some complaints may be dismissed. It will also provide insight into the role of the judicial officer, how complaints are made, and the possible outcomes of complaints that arise from tenancy disputes and intervention order matters.

This event is particularly relevant for members of the public, especially those involved in matters before the Magistrates’ Court of Victoria or VCAT.
